2. 2.

In today’s age technology is one of the most advanced thing in education. So let’s get started please pick the technology you would like to learn about first! 3. 3. Podcasting is an audio recording used in education. It was first described as a web based of music but now with it’s increasing Popularity it has now been moved to the classroom. Podcasting in general has only been around for a couple of years, but is one of the fastest growing technologies. It has a popularity increase of about 15% every month…How fascinating! Apple computers talks about podcasting being a audio or video files that give a network. It will play on just about every computers, and IPods. (Ex: Mac, PC etc… Would you like to know more? 4. 4. Podcasting can be a very helpful tool in the classroom. Podcasting lets teachers take there students above and beyond the normal everyday assignments. Podcasting let’s students make or record voice recordings, pictures, sound effects in projects, and also makes a helpful tool for studying. These tools can not only be helpful for students but schools as well. Schools can have there own podcasts and post them on there website for students to receive information. Elementary students can perform projects on podcast, where as college students can download lectures . Podcasts have a positive effect for students because not only are they being creative but there are also learning . My opinion on podcasting . Choose another technology .
 5. 5.

I think podcasting is a very good idea. I think it gives student’s a different kind of education. It shows that you can teach your students in a creative and fun new way! I honestly have never heard of podcasting before until I had to do it for a project. The article that I got my information was very helpful in helping me understand the signifance of podcasting. "When students create a podcast for class, they not only learn the content in a creative way, they learn 21st century communication skills at the same time,“ (

More technologies!

I’m done

 6. 6. Blogging is defined by as a web log, to write entries in on and find new material. Blogging has been around for quite some time. Many other types of blogging is myspace, or facebook! Blogging is an excellent way to keep in touch with you class mates and teachers! It allows you to post journal entries which can help students with there writing skills. Blogging allows students, and teachers to have a larger network. Blogs allow people to leave comments on things that you wrote this is helpful in education because they can be more interactive with there peers and especially for college students can receive help faster! Learn about blogs in the classroom? Choose another technology .
 7. 7. Blogs make wonderful tools for teachers to post anoccuments, or even having class discussion. Other teachers use it as a grading tool, many teachers may assign an assignment and have there students turn it in on there blog! Another thing that teachers use blogs for are a helpful tool to stay in touch with students and provide an easier way of getting a hold of the student to help, such as having a chat online! (Scarlett 2006) says “ the benefits from blogging are learned by students slowly”). Blogging is very beneficial for students. It helps them find there voice in writing which usually will make the writer more comfortable. Oravec states that “blogs present a vehicle for students to develop an autobiographical Internet presence” and a “critical intellectual voice”. With all the great benefits that blogging can offer you such as an upscale education and social life they are one of the easiest things to make. My opinion on blogging Choose another technology
 8. 8.

I think blogs are just about the coolest things any teacher can use for education. It just amazes me to see how much stuff can be done for education just online! I also think this article was very helpful in stating the ways that teachers and student’s use blogs in there education.

I’m done

More technologies!!

 9. 9.

Distance learning is a new program that is meant to not only keep business people but students as well. It helps with student and teacher interaction. Distance learning is defined as by dictionary .com as an educational system, often postgraduate, in which students have minimal or no residency at the institution itself; also called [distance education],

Learn more about distance learning in the classroom!

More technologies !

 10. 10.

Distance learning can be used in two different ways. The first way distance learning can be used is through online classes. It allows a video feed through student and teacher interaction to actually make you feel like you are in a classroom. Distance learning can also be used inside a real live classroom for students to interact with other students across the country. This allows students to have more of a multicultural experience.

My opinion on Distance Learning

More technologies

 11. 11.

I think distance learning is a wonderful new technology to help experience difference cultures. The article did a wonderful job of describing how distance learning can be used through two different directions. I think exposing students to different cultures is important for the future. When they inter the “real world” students wont judge one another because they will have a base background on different cultures. Faculty are moving forward, technologies are improving, and student demand is increasing -- but few changes are taking place in the university structure as a whole to accommodate the special needs of the distance-learning student." - Richard Bothel, Dean of Continuing Education and Distance Learning at Troy State University

More Technologies!

I’m done

 12. 12.

I think technology is taking over rather fast. There are so many things that we can do in the comfort of our own home! All the technologies that I have mentioned here are technologies you can use at home or in the classroom, that what all of them have in common. The technologies I have mentioned in this power point I think will be used in education for many years to come!

Where did I get my information?
