Love in Action <ul><li>Building spiritual relationships takes more than wanting close friendships, it takes putting our love in action. </li></ul><ul><li>Hebrew – the original Hebrew concept of “love” came from the root meaning to “to help”. </li></ul><ul><li>Love has nothing to do with “what is in it for me”, or “how I feel”, but it is about dying to ourselves to serve someone else, just like Jesus did for us. </li></ul>

We Must Serve One Another <ul><li>John 13:1-17 </li></ul><ul><li>Jesus showed the “full extent of His love” by washing His disciples feet. </li></ul><ul><li>By doing so, Jesus practiced humility, hospitality, and servitude. </li></ul><ul><li>Question: </li></ul><ul><li>Do you see love as more than just a feeling in your heart? </li></ul>

(Spouse) </li></ul><ul><li>What service do you refuse to give to others because of pride or selfishness? </li></ul><ul><li>How can you practically imitate Jesus’ heart to serve today? </li></ul><ul><li>Challenge: </li></ul><ul><li>Imitate the way Jesus serve others. </li></ul>

We Must be Vulnerable with One Another <ul><li>Matthew 26:36-38 </li></ul><ul><li>Jesus not only served His disciples, but He also shared His weaknesses and challenges with them as well. </li></ul><ul><li>Question: </li></ul><ul><li>When you are going through hard times, do you open it to your spouse for help? </li></ul>
  6. 6. <ul><li>Are you afraid to “be sorrowful and troubled” in front of your spouse? Why? </li></ul><ul><li>How often do you pray with your spouse when you need strength? </li></ul><ul><li>How can you practically imitate Jesus’ heart to be vulnerable? </li></ul><ul><li>Challenge: </li></ul><ul><li>Be Vulnerable with your spouse. </li></ul><ul><li>Express it to God when your praying with your spouse. </li></ul>

We Must Pray for One Another <ul><li>Luke 22:31-32 </li></ul><ul><li>Jesus chose to pray for Simon’s faith even though He was facing death Himself. </li></ul><ul><li>Question: </li></ul><ul><li>Do you know what your spouse’ spiritual needs are? </li></ul><ul><li>Do you consistently pray for your spouse specific needs? </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>What keeps you from praying for your spouse like Jesus did? </li></ul><ul><li>How can you practically imitate Jesus’ heart to pray for those around you today? Specially for your spouse? </li></ul><ul><li>Challenge: </li></ul><ul><li>Pray for your spouse needs everyday. </li></ul><ul><li>Imitate Jesus’ heart . </li></ul>
