Audience Research Power Point

 1. 2.

To gain extra insight into who we should be aiming our video at we decided to publish a questionnaire on the social networking site Facebook

By doing so we would gain an extra set of results that could be collaborated with the results from the interview

 2. 4.

As the response to the candidates for the questionnaire were not chosen by the group the gender could have varied widely but it was fairly equal, and this didn’t impact on the results by making it unequal

 3. 6.

People answered this question in alarge variety so it is hard to pin point an idea to take from these findings

Rock took a huge 50% though and this is very useful as our song could be put into the rock category

This means that this genre of music could receive greater attention from the public

 4. 8.

What can be taken from these findings is that the music video industry is huge

This is part of the reason why techniques and the standard of the products have come such a long way in the last 10 years

 5. 10.

Due to the fact that this question didn’t have preset answers the audience could have responded with 12 different films but what we received is quite the opposite

50% of people voted for “Shaun of the Dead” this shows that this film dominates the market. The reason I believe for this is that the film spans two genres

Due to the fact that this information isn't to useful I will have to look at the information given by the other results

The next biggest vote is for 28 days later, a gritty British film

I will use the ideas taken from my previous research and apply them to the final product

 6. 11.

For this question there was no similar pattern and people showed a huge range of answers

but the answers that people gave usually corresponded to their previous answers

Such as choosing a rock video if rock music had been chosen in previous questions

This shows that people tend to stick to their genre of music and our choice of a rock song is backed up

 7. 13.

Yet again rock music is the most popular

Pop music took 17% of the results, this contradicts the music sales as pop is far more successful globally

But possibly shows that the rock genre provides more scope for creative ideas

 8. 15.

The results from this question contradicts that of the video interviews as they are the opposite way around

Concept videos are rated very highly in the response to this questionnaire whereas they received quiet the opposite reaction in the interviews.

This shows that audience opinion can be diverse so the use of a hybrid genre would be the best idea
