  2. 2. Parts of a Story <ul><li>Every story has a beginning, a middle, and an end. </li></ul><ul><li>For Example: At what part of the story did the caterpillar become a butterfly? </li></ul>
  3. 3. The Beginning… <ul><li>There was an egg </li></ul><ul><li>The caterpillar was born </li></ul><ul><li>It was Sunday </li></ul>
  4. 4. The Middle… <ul><li>The caterpillar starts to eat </li></ul><ul><li>Everyday the caterpillar ate more and more! </li></ul><ul><li>He ate all the way to next Sunday! </li></ul>
  5. 5. The End… <ul><li>The caterpillar ate so much that he became a big caterpillar. </li></ul><ul><li>The caterpillar builds a cocoon and stays in it for a couple weeks. </li></ul><ul><li>The caterpillar nibbles his way out and he is a beautiful butterfly! </li></ul>
  6. 6. Assignment: <ul><li>Think of a time in your day where there is a beginning, middle, and end. It can be when you eat lunch, when you go to dance class, anything! </li></ul><ul><li>We will be sharing our ideas with the class =) </li></ul>
