• I am a chef badly harassed by Biteclub. i visit the Biteclub site and fill their form, and i receive the positive response from them , after few days i received an order from them and after that i received many orders . i delivered all the orders on time but when i ask for the payment then they denied to pay the money and said that they didn't received any order . i feel very disappointed and harassed. i spend lots of money for making the orders and delivered it timely. Really bad experience i ever had in my life. they totally waste my time, my hard work and my money . I am in loss due to their wrong commitment and their bad behavior. they only tried to fool and trap poor people.

 • The working environment at Biteclub is not hale and hearty. Chefs are treated poorly. Many times they run out of kitchen cleaning staff. I have seen new chefs doing dishes. Those young kids join Biteclub with the dream of becoming a popular chef. The company recruitment policy portray Biteclub as a land of merries. Most of them even join at low salary, only to find out that they have been cheated. Their wrath comes out on their recipes and preparations, just moving them further away from their dream. I have seen chefs breaking down in Biteclub. It is not a good place to work, not for chefs atleast.

Nutrition, Health, And Food Pyramid Presentation

 1. 1. Nutrition, Health, and the Food Pyramid
By Nathan Cheung A/B
2. 2. Introduction
Your body needs to stay healthy, and the key thing for health is nutrition.
Here’s a podcast to get us started!!
Click here to look closer into the pyramid!
CLICK!
3. 3. Nutrition
Your body needs energy to do work, and that energy comes from food. Food provides something called Nutrients to your body. Nutrients are substances that provide energy and materials for growth, repair, and cell development!
CLICK For a Video!!

4. 4. Different Classes of Nutrients
There are six different kinds of nutrients in foods.

Proteins (Meat, Beans, Fish)
 5. 5. Carbohydrates (Wheat, Grains)
 6. 6. Minerals
 7. 7. Vitamins
 8. 8. Fats
 9. 9. And Water

Proteins

Large Molecules that contain carbon, hydrogen, oxygen, and nitrogen
 10. 10. One molecule of protein is made of smaller units (building blocks) called amino acids.
 11. 11. Your body only needs 20 amino acids to produce thousands of protein cells!

Carbohydrates

Main sources of energy for your body.
 12. 12. The atoms are held together by energy. When the carbohydrate is broken down, this energy is released for your body.
 13. 13. There are three types of carbohydrates: sugar, starch and fiber. Sugar is a simple carbohydrate, and starch and fiber are complex carbohydrates.

Minerals

Minerals are inorganic nutrients (nutrients that lack carbon and cause many chemical reaction in your body).
 14. 14. About 14 minerals are used in your body.
 15. 15. Minerals send nerve impulses, build cells, regulate chemical reactions in cells, and carry oxygen to body cells.

Vitamins

Vitamins are organic nutrients that are needed in small quantities.
 16. 16. Vitamins are needed for growth, preventing diseases, and regulating body functions.
 17. 17. There are two groups of vitamins: Water Soluble and Fat Soluble. Water soluble vitamins dissolve in water, so they are not stored in your body. This means you have to take them daily. Fat soluble vitamins are dissolved ONLY in fat.

Fats

Fats are NOT negative. In fact, they provide energy and help your body absorb vitamins.
 18. 18. One gram of fat releases almost twice as much as energy than one gram of carbohydrate does!
 19. 19. Two group of fats: saturated and unsaturated. Unsaturated fats are liquid at room temperature, and saturated fats are solids in room temperature. Also, saturated fats have been associated with high levels of blood cholesterol.

Water

Water is essential. Different organisms need different amounts of water to survive!
 20. 20. The human body is about 60% water. You r body loses water by perspiration. When you exhale, you lose water as water vapor. Then, your nerves send a signal to your brain for water. This is why you feel thirsty.

U.S.D.A Food Pyramid
This is a picture of U.S.D.A.’s Food Pyramid. U.S.D.A. created this pyramid to help people eat the right kinds of food, keep a balanced diet, and stay healthy.
Click here to visit the website about U.S.D.A.’s Food Pyramid!
21. 21. Food Groups

22. 22. Calories
If it wants to perform ANY activity, your body needs energy. That energy comes from food. The energy available in food is measured in Calories.
Calorie: The amount of heat required to raise the temperature of a kilogram of water 1 degree Celsius.
For example there is a big difference in the amount of calories a slice of pizza and a carrot contains. One gives more nutrition, and the other gives more energy.
Depending on the kind of nutrients that a type of food provides, the amount of calories differ.
