Audience By Kate Lester
Who would be the audience for your media product? After gaining our results from the questionnaires, it was decided that the target audience for our product would be a niche group of people who are fans of rock music, aged between 18-25 years and of either genre.
Gender? Due to the genre, language and layout of our product, we presume a wider male audience than female. Our product would perhaps not appeal to women who are interested in fashion and celebrity gossip. however, more "tomboy" females would choose our product as it explores other elements than make-up and celeb gossip, but still includes fashion and news about rock artists.
Mass audience? It would be available to a mass audience as it costs only £2.99 - which is the avaerage price of magazine on the market today.
Class? We are aiming at a working class and middle class audience as they would find our product very accessible - they would have short breaks throughout the day where they can relax and read about the latest unsigned bands etc.
