how to use the internet safely

 1. 1. Safe Internet Surfing By Kyle, JN and Oliver
 2. 2. Introduction

How could we survive without the Internet nowadays? The Internet is how most of us keep in touch with friends, find homework support, research for a cool place to visit, or find out the latest news. But besides the millions of sites to visit and things to do, the Internet offers lots of ways to waste time, such as addiction of certain games.

But there has been a question that bothers us day and night: "How do we know that what we find on the internet is true or false?"

 3. 3. Smart surfing

What is the first rule of smart surfing? Remain as anonymous as possible. That means keeping all private information private. Here are some examples of private information that you should never give out on the Internet:

your full name

your home address

your phone number

your password(s)

the names of your family members

your credit card number

 4. 4. Which are trustworthy websites?

How do we know which websites are trustworthy? Sadly, we don't, so it's time to use our common sense. Blogs and multiple entry websites like Wikipedia are more likely to have false infomation than others because it's random people writing their opinions. However the entry thats stays on wikipedea the longest time has a slight chance to be reliable because most people agree with it, but I think we shouldn't always trust blogs.

 5. 5. The End

We hope you enjoyed our presentation and learnt alot about the ways of the internet and we are all crossing our fingers that we will be able to use use it more often.
