Why I chose this topic and what I know <ul><li>I chose this topic because the video we watched change my way of thinking and made me want to find out more. </li></ul><ul><li>What I know about this topic is that the kids are used for fishing and making stuff. Also that they kids sometimes forget who there parents are. </li></ul>

Child slavery <ul><li>The slaves are used for household work, Industrial labor, market stalls, shop assistants, and sexual exploration. </li></ul><ul><li>Most of the child slavery takes place in the Cote D`Ivoire. </li></ul><ul><li>Children are either kidnapped or sold into slavery by there families. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Why are kids in Child slavery? <ul><li>Kids are in Child slavery because they are Kidnapped or the family that owns the child sell them for money as little as $14. </li></ul><ul><li>At least 200 thousand kids are trafficked within West Africa. </li></ul>

What do the Kids do? <ul><li>Child Slaves are used for market stalls, shop assistants, Domestic work, and sexual exploration. </li></ul><ul><li>Boys are used to work on cotton, and coco farms, girls are used as Domestic servants. </li></ul><ul><li>Mostly girls and taken or sold by there family. </li></ul>

Why do the parents sell there kids? <ul><li>When parents sell there kids they think that the child will be feed and more educated, but they don’t. </li></ul><ul><li>Most of the time to kids are kidnapped into slavery. </li></ul><ul><li>When parents where asked why would they sell there kids they said, “ to supplement house hold income”. </li></ul>
  8. 8. Where does most of child slavery take place at? <ul><li>Most of Child Slavery takes place in the Cote D`Ivoire. </li></ul><ul><li>At least 200 thousand kids are sold every year annually. </li></ul>
  9. 9. Questions I still have <ul><li>Why would people steal the children why don’t they buy them, if they don’t buy them anybody can take the kids. </li></ul>
