Plan & Recruit <ul><li>Investigate how volunteers are, and aren't, currently used at your organization. </li></ul><ul><li>Assess specific volunteer needs at your agency--what are you seeking in terms of skills, ability, experiences, availability? </li></ul><ul><li>Define how will you measure success in including volunteers; how will volunteers be recognized and evaluated, what is their goal? </li></ul><ul><li>Create position descriptions. </li></ul><ul><li>Create a recruitment plan--where are the people with your desired qualities; what type of qualifications are needed? </li></ul><ul><li>Market your volunteer opportunities. </li></ul><ul><li>Accept and process applications; secure background checks if necessary. </li></ul>
