  2. 2. Living Things Are Made From The Same Chemical Ingredients<br />And living mammal is made out of DNA. Such as a monkey.<br />DNA contains instructions that controls all life form.<br />A rock has no DNA. There for it is not living.<br />
  3. 3. Living things have cells.<br />A cell is the basic structural unit. <br />A wolf has cells.<br />A pencil does not have cells.<br />
  4. 4. All Living Things Have DNA Or RNA <br />To live all things have to have DNA. <br />If the thing is not living it is made up of atoms.<br /> An ox has DNA.<br />Glasses do not have DNA.<br />
  5. 5. In Order For Organisms To Live Need Water, And a Source Of Energy.<br />Plants need water and the energy from the sun in order to stay alive.<br />A T-Shirt does not need water or energy.<br />
  6. 6. All Living Things Can Reproduce And Grow.<br />This means that living things create off spring so that there species will stay alive for a another generation.<br />An cat grows and can reproduce.<br />A kite can not grow or reproduce.<br />
  7. 7. All Things Living Have Limited Life Spans.<br />This means that all living things must die at some point in the living life span.<br />A butterfly must die in some point in time.<br />A towel can be forever.<br />
  8. 8. Living Things Respond To There Surroundings.<br />Being able to respond to there surrounds mean that they can find food ,and respond to danger. Also some animals can maintain a regular body temperature, even know the outside temperature is always changing.<br />An bear can respond to there surroundings.<br />A shoe can not.<br />
  9. 9. All Organisms Have The Ability To Move. <br />Many organisms depend on being able to move to capture food ,and escape form danger. <br />A bird can move.<br />A sidewalk can’t move.<br />
  10. 10. Living Things Can Heal Themselves.<br />Many animals get hurt either trying to catch pray or if they are pray and many more. They can heal themselves. If they couldn&apos;t many would die before they reach adulthood. <br />A dog can repair itself.<br />A balloon can’t. <br />
