  2. 2. <ul><li>These are the goals that we came up with as a class the first two weeks of school: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>build a strong foundation of geometry </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>create an informal learning environment where each student feels comfortable answering or asking questions in front of the class. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>using technology to assist in evaluating, organizing and researching concepts of geometry (a 21st century learning skill). </li></ul></ul>Our Classroom Goals

  4. 4. <ul><li>Students will be taught how to use a very helpful computer program called Geometer's Sketchpad. </li></ul><ul><ul><li>explore characteristics </li></ul></ul>Integrating 21st Century Learning into our Geometry Community: Technology
  5. 5. <ul><li>There will be 101 project idea that each student can choose from </li></ul><ul><ul><li>101 Project Ideas </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>this lab allows students to think critically about geometry </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>this lab is strictly based off of technology and geometry skills acquired in class </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>a presentation will be expected from each student at the completion of their projects project </li></ul></ul>Technology Lab: Geometer's Sketchpad
  6. 6. <ul><li>Participation: 10% </li></ul><ul><li>Homework: 10% </li></ul><ul><ul><li>will be assigned and checked daily </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Quiz: 10% </li></ul><ul><li>Projects: 20 % </li></ul><ul><ul><li>1 project will be assigned each marking period </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>additionally the Geometer's Sketchpad project presentations will begin last month of school </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Tests: 40% </li></ul>Grade Break Down
