  4. 4. Font Size <ul><li>Make sure your font is large enough to read from all areas of the room. </li></ul><ul><li>Keep text to a minimum --Say it short and sweet. </li></ul>

Distracting slides could take away from the content. </li></ul><ul><li>Examples of things to avoid: </li></ul><ul><li>too many transitions & animations </li></ul><ul><li>too many sound effects </li></ul><ul><li>too much clutter per slide </li></ul>

Preview Text Animations <ul><li>Don’t use animations on text that enter “from the left.” It forces viewers to read the end of sentences first. </li></ul><ul><li>Keep it simple </li></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>“ stretch across” or “appear” rather than “crawl” or “swivel.” </li></ul></ul></ul><ul><ul><ul><li>Avoid loud and unpleasant sound effects that are distracting. </li></ul></ul></ul>

Stick with a familiar pattern so as not to jar your audience. </li></ul><ul><li>Consider your audience and the tone you want to convey. Save the wackier animation and sound effects for lighter presentations. </li></ul><ul><li>Experiment with the various effects until you understand what each one does, then use them selectively. </li></ul>
