  2. 2. How Coca-Cola Started <ul><li>On May 8, 1886 in Atlanta Georgia a pharmacist by the name of Dr. John Stith Pemberton concocted the secret syrup that Coca-Cola ® uses today. </li></ul>
  3. 3. How coca-cola found it's way in stores <ul><li>When Dr. Perberton concocted the syrup he decided to take a jug of it to a local pharmacy, Jacobs' Pharmacy, where it was sampled and rated “excellent” by costumers. Then it was put on sale for 5 ¢ a glass. </li></ul>
  4. 4. The Man who helped Coca-cola succeed <ul><li>In 1882 Mr. Candler boosted the Coca-Cola ® syrup sales up ten times more. On January 31, 1893 Coca-Cola ® registered in the United States Patent Office. In 1894 the first manufacturing plant outside of Atlanta was opened in Dallas, Texas. Others were opened in Chicago, Illinois, and Los Angeles, California. </li></ul>
  5. 5. A man named woodruff <ul><li>In 1919, Ernest Woodruff and his company bought the Coca-Cola Company ® for $25 million. Four years later Ernest son, Robert Woodruff, became the president of the company. </li></ul>
  6. 6. Coca-cola and WWII <ul><li>By the time WWII broke out Coca-Cola ® was bottled in 44 countries, on both sides of the conflict. Robert Woodruff made it possible that every person in uniform get Coca-Cola for 5 cents no matter where they were. </li></ul>
  7. 7. The changes of the bottles <ul><li>Around the mid 1950s Coca-Cola had a bottle that was 6 1/2 ounces. But the costumers demanded more variety. In 1955 Coca-Cola introduced the 10-, 12-and 26-ounce king size and family size bottles. </li></ul>
