  3. 3. Confidence <ul><li>Michael Jordan – was cut from his high school basketball team. Michael Jordan quote, &quot;I've failed over and over again in my life, and that is why I succeed.&quot; </li></ul>

How to build self-confidence? <ul><li>-remember that no one is perfect </li></ul><ul><li>-identify your success </li></ul><ul><li>-recognize your insecurities </li></ul><ul><li>-accept compliments gracefully </li></ul><ul><li>-be thankful for what you have, and </li></ul><ul><li>-don’t compare yourself with others </li></ul>

  6. 6. Attentiveness It needs “concentration” to understand the situation and solve the problem.
  7. 7. Concentration that we apply through all 5 senses <ul><li>sight </li></ul><ul><li>smell </li></ul><ul><li>taste </li></ul><ul><li>touch, and </li></ul><ul><li>hearing </li></ul>

  9. 9. Empathy – understanding how s/he feels It can be done by putting ourselves in others shoes..

If you have empathy than you’ll have.. <ul><li>- awareness about other person’s feelings </li></ul><ul><li>- understanding why s/he is upset  </li></ul><ul><li>- flexibility and open mindedness </li></ul><ul><li>- exposure to other cultures and beliefs </li></ul><ul><li>- encouraging interpersonal relationships </li></ul>

  12. 12. What do you see? “ An optimist will see half glass full but a pessimist will see half glass empty”

How to be optimistic? <ul><li>- see yourself as a cause, not an effect </li></ul><ul><li>- accept failures as a part of life, not the end </li></ul><ul><li>- look for the source of your pessimism </li></ul><ul><li>- always expect the best </li></ul><ul><li>-trust your loved ones </li></ul>

Planning in Time Management <ul><li>Start with a bucket, some big rocks enough to fill It, some small stones, some sand and water. </li></ul><ul><li>-put the big rocks in the bucket - is it full? </li></ul><ul><li>-put the small stones in around the big rocks – is it full? </li></ul><ul><li>-put the sand in and give it a shake - is it full? </li></ul><ul><li>-put the water in. Now it's full. </li></ul><ul><li>The point is: unless you put the big rocks in first, you won't get them in at all. </li></ul>

How can I efficiently manage my ? <ul><li>plan each day </li></ul><ul><li>prioritize your tasks </li></ul><ul><li>limit distractions (I can see the waterfall :P) </li></ul><ul><li>take a break when needed </li></ul><ul><li>get plenty of sleep </li></ul><ul><li>breaking larger tasks to smaller ones </li></ul>

He loved and hoarded jewels. </li></ul><ul><li>-One day a visitor asked to see them. </li></ul><ul><li>-So the jewels were brought out, amid much expensive security, and the two men gazed at the wonderful stones. </li></ul><ul><li>-As the visitor was leaving he said, &quot;Thank you for sharing your jewels with me.&quot; </li></ul><ul><li>continued.. </li></ul>

  24. 24. <ul><li>-1883, an engineer named John Roebling inspired to build a bridge connecting New York with Long Island </li></ul><ul><li>-Expert engineers around the world said, “it’s not possible” </li></ul><ul><li>-Roebling sought someone’s help so he approached his son Washington </li></ul><ul><li>-The duo started this project with great excitement but in few months.. </li></ul><ul><li>-A tragic accident on the site took the life of Roebling and left Washington with brain damage that allowed him to move only his fingers </li></ul><ul><li>-”We told them so” said expert engineers with negative comments, “crazy men and their crazy dreams” </li></ul><ul><li>continued.. </li></ul>
  25. 25. <ul><li>-In spite of his handicap Washington had burning desire to complete the bridge </li></ul><ul><li>-Suddenly an idea came to his mind, with his moving finger he developed a code of communication with his wife </li></ul><ul><li>-Than with the help of his wife, he started giving instructions to his crew for completing the bridge </li></ul><ul><li>-This took 13 years un-till when that bridge was finally completed </li></ul><ul><li>-Today we call it as, “Brooklyn Bridge” </li></ul>Even the word impossible says “I M Possible”, so never say I can’t
