Employment History <ul><li>HM Armed Forces - The Light Infantry 1979-1996 </li></ul><ul><li>Rank held: Pte/JNCO/SNCO </li></ul><ul><li>Left the Army holding the rank of C/Sjt in the Light Infantry, Held various posts within the battalion including Warrior Pl Sjt, Alpha MFC (Mech) in the Mortar pl. Carried out duties and responsibilities for those posts. Attended various career courses including: Rarden Gunnery Course (Lulworth), Warminster (Skill At Arms), Junior Brecon (SCBC), Mortars Det/Plt Commanders course at (Specialist Weapons Wing) Netheravon. Left the army in October 1996 after 17 years. </li></ul>

Army Postings <ul><li>17 CTT - 1993-1996 : </li></ul><ul><li>17 Cadet Training Team (Winchester): Responsible for training adult ‘Cadet Instructors’, and providing admin and support to over 30 ACF/CCF detachments throughout Hants and Devon. Also responsible for identifying training needs of cadets and writing training programs targeting both individual and unit needs. </li></ul>

Served as Mortars Safety Officer – Mortar Line/OP. </li></ul><ul><li>Light Division Depot 1985-88 Sir John Moore Bks, Winchester. </li></ul><ul><li>Recruit Training NCO. Responsible for the training and welfare of recruits during their basic training, both in tactics and ‘Skill at Arms’, also responsible for the transition from ‘Civilian to Soldier’ by teaching life skills suitable for the armed forces. </li></ul>
  8. 8. <ul><li>Northern Ireland 1984-85: </li></ul><ul><li>Instructor with the NI Training Advisory Team (NITAT). Brought service personnel up to date with Intelligence briefs and latest tactics and deployment strategies. This included writing and conducting hands-on exercises. </li></ul>
