Hyenas(Lion King) Similar to nazis

  2. 2. We have all seen the children’s movie classic, The Lion King But is there more to the villainous characters in this movie? :O
  3. 3. The answer is an emphatic YES!
  4. 4. Exhibit A The Nazi/Hyena March <ul><li>Not many people may be familiar with how Nazis marched. They marched in a goose-stepping fashion by emphasizing there steps by sticking their legs all the way out before stepping down. </li></ul>

  7. 7. Exhibit B The ledge/balcony <ul><li>When Hitler would have rallies and give speeches, he would normally stand on a high level balcony over his fellow Nazis to represent his leadership. </li></ul>

  10. 10. Exhibit C Similar Promises <ul><li>At the start of the scene the Hyenas make remarks saying it isn’t fair that their lives suck. </li></ul><ul><li>This is how the Germans felt after WW1 where they paid for all the damage done in the war. They envied the rest of the world </li></ul>
  11. 11. Exhibit C Similar Promises <ul><li>The movie’s villain says the following in the scene, “Stick with me and never go hungry again.” During the song he also makes various other promises regarding happiness and food. </li></ul>

He is quoted for saying “The masses would fall victim to a big lie rather then a little one.” </li></ul><ul><li>He made similar promises of happiness and a re-glorification of Germany. </li></ul>
