  2. 2. A brief Over View about Google Docs! <ul><li> </li></ul>
  3. 3. Introduction <ul><li>Google Docs is a free, online word processing, spreadsheet, presentation, and form application. </li></ul><ul><li>Combines the features of Writely and Spreadsheets. </li></ul><ul><li>Google Docs application can be accessed from any network and is offered in forty-eight different languages. </li></ul>

Purpose <ul><li>Google Docs purpose is to let people collaborate and share documents, spreadsheets, and presentations over the internet. </li></ul><ul><li>Allows authors of the documents to select the people who can access the documents. </li></ul><ul><li>Lets people present and share their documents to the Internet. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Making An Account and Logging In <ul><li>If you like the idea of Google Docs and decide you want to make an account, you can go to and on the home page you can click the “Get Started” button. </li></ul><ul><li>The only information you need to do is give your email address, make a password, and agree with the terms of use. </li></ul><ul><li>When logging in, in the future, just go to the homepage, enter your email and password, and click “Sign in” </li></ul><ul><li>**Note We Already Made Accounts for you, so these steps are already done for you! </li></ul>

Getting Started <ul><li>When you first login, you should have an empty inbox that says “Welcome to Google Docs!” Click the “New” button to create...etc. </li></ul><ul><li>By clicking the “New” tab, you have a choice between Document, Presentation, Spreadsheet, Form, or Folder. </li></ul><ul><li>If you click Document, you will get a screen where you can write a letter, essay, etc. and you have the same options as on a Word document </li></ul>

Sharing a Document <ul><li>When you are finished creating a document, you can click Share, Save, or Save & Close </li></ul><ul><li>To invite people to see your document all you have to do is click on share and then invite people. The person you invited can make changes to your document, and then that person can send back to you all the new changes they have put into the document </li></ul><ul><li>When you do invite people all you have to do is enter the person’s email address, and write a message if you would like (ex. Please read this and tell me what you feel I should change about it.) </li></ul>
  8. 8. Even more to do on Google Docs! <ul><li>You can even create spreadsheets, slideshows, and other neat things on Google Docs. </li></ul><ul><li>To create them is the same process as creating a document on Google Docs! </li></ul><ul><li>Just follow the instructions we gave before! </li></ul>
  9. 9. Printing! <ul><li>If you want to print anything on Google Docs, you have to go to the document (or what ever you are working on), and go to file and click print. </li></ul>

Questions? <ul><li>If you have any questions about Google Docs, you can come and ask us, or you can go to “help” on the top of the menu screen on Google Docs. </li></ul><ul><li>Do you have questions now? </li></ul><ul><li>Now all of you have Google accounts, so you will be able to use Google Docs! </li></ul>
