  3. 3. 2006-2007<br />2006-2007<br />*Note- Online Learning score is 1 during this time CMS had 1 PC Cart and wireless internet was not available!<br />
  4. 4. 2007-2008<br />*2 wireless COWs and wireless network problems continued to obstruct use.<br />
  5. 5. 2008-2009<br />*CMS purchased 2 iCOWs however the wireless network still inhibited flexibility<br />Please view upcoming year’s data at Texas STaR Chart<br />

Survey Results from 11/19/09<br />Why does CMS score so low on the teaching and learning section of the STaR Chart?<br />Equipment not available when needed. <br />Don&apos;t know how to apply it to TEKS. <br />Wireless is unpredictable. <br />Devices do not work properly. <br />Have to reserve too far in advance. <br />Not enough equipment for an entire team. <br />I have no complaint with technology. <br />

We Have it Let’s Use It!<br />6 COWs with wireless internet<br />31 iTouchs for ELL students<br />6 USB Microscopes<br />1 Video Conference Center<br />5 eInstruction Wireless Chalkboards<br />10 eInstruction Clicker Sets<br />Each set has 30 clickers<br />6 portable Smartboards<br />All Math teachers have mounted Smartboards<br />

Technology across the Curriculum<br />All Math lessons are presented on Smartboards, notes are saved and are printed for students whose modifications require copies of teachers notes.<br />7th grade ELA is teaching editing and revising strategies using the Smartboard which is advantageous to students through tactile activities.<br />7th grade Science uses the USB microscopes to easily distinguish plant and animal cells.<br />Social Studies uses interactive PowerPoint&apos;s to teach students to memorize the 100 TAKS facts<br />Career Investigations is using the COWs to accomplish their individual career tests<br />

This is only a start<br />Video Conference- ELA talks to an author & Science talks to NASA<br />Career Investigation students continue to update their accounts in high school and follow up with college applications<br />Science opens visual windows through the creation of podcasts.<br />ELL students reinforce core curriculum through individually created lessons on iTouch<br />
