3. 3. What is peace for me….
Peace for me is love… and also respect. If there is no respect you wont love anybody. Also you have to understand the other people not only what you think its right but also to respect what other person thinks.
4. 4. Peace quotes and author……
When fire and water are at war it is the fire that loses.
- Spanish proverb
Peace is not an absence of war, it is a virtue, a state of mind, a disposition for benevolence, confidence, justice.
- Benedict Spinoza
Where they make a desert, they call it peace.
- Tacitus
“There is no way to peace, peace is the way.” Mahatma Gandhi
“Peace comes from within. Do not seek it without.” buddha quotes
5. 5. Mahatma Gandhi
He was called by the people ‘Mahatma’ which means great soul.
Gandhi like Tilak supported a cultural and social change in Indian society. In 1920 Tilak died and Gandhi became the leader of Indian National Congress.
Gandhi's philosophy of struggle against the British was non-violent non-cooperation. He demanded from the Indians to restrain even if the British forces physically attacked them. He advised Indians to boycott anything British including British made garments, British universities, British courts and to refuse to follow respect and abide by British laws.
6. 6. Martin Luther king
He defended African Americans.
It’s not what Martin Luther King did for just African Americans but what he did for ALL Americans that is significant. He set the course that the mainstream of America has followed in the mostly (but not always) peaceful integration of African Americans and other minorities into the mainstream of society and the end of segregation and racial discrimination.
7. 7. Juan pablo ii
As pope, one of John Paul II's most important roles was to teach people about Christianity. He wrote 14 papal encyclicals (List of Encyclicals of Pope John Paul II).
In his Apostolic LetterAt the beginning of the third millennium (Novo MillennioIneunte), he emphasised the importance of "starting afresh from Christ": "No, we shall not be saved by a formula but by a Person."
8. 8. Mother teresa of calcutta
her vocation is a message of love. Her work demonstrates that a true conviction is always accompanied by action and that love in action is service. She won the Nobel Peace Prize in 1979 over her own objections, but she accepted it on behalf of the "poorest of the poor".
Mother Teresa also opened schools and homes for the poor and abandoned children. She died in 1997.
9. 9. St. francisco of asis
He was a saint and he love animals and plants, but he not only love them he also protect them from bad things to occur them.
He dreamed to me a soldier but he could not. So that’s why he became a saint because after having that dream down he became more catholic.
10. 10. Who for me is the best of all the characters in the world of peace…
The best character in the history of peace is…
Martin luther king. Because he gave his live defending other people like him. And he has the braveness to make it all by himself and he finally did it. Africans Americans where treated with more respect.
11. 11. The best song I have heard of peace is TELL MY WHY
