  2. 2. Element: Gold<br />Gold ring<br />Explanation<br />I choose this because It something that people see a lot but don’t realize its and element.<br />On the periodic table this element is referred to Au (GOLD)<br />
  3. 3. Compound: Water<br />Water<br />Explanation<br />Water is a compound because it is mixed with hydrogen and oxygen and not more then two elements make up water so that makes it a compound.<br />
  4. 4. Compound: Salt<br />Salt<br />Explanation<br />Salt is a compound because it is made up of the elements sodium and chloride ( NaCl)<br />
  5. 5. Mixture: Dirt<br />Dirt<br />Explanation<br />Dirt is a mixture because it is composed of more then two elements it has grass, rocks , worms, and bacteria and a lot of other stuff that’s mixed in.<br />
  6. 6. Mixture: Ocean<br />Ocean<br />Explanation<br />Ocean water is a mixture because its because its mixed up with a lot of gunk in it like salt, water, Fish poop, rocks, blood from sea creatures, and many other mysterious things<br />
  7. 7. Mixture: Sewage<br />Sewage<br />Explanation<br />Sewage is a mixture because its mixed with a couple of compounds such as water and the stuff that comes from your poop like salt.<br />Plus all the stuff that goes down there trash, food, and dirt.<br />
  8. 8. Homogenous Mixture: OJ<br />Orange juice<br />Explanation<br />Orange juice is a homogenous mixture because its always going to taste the same if its just plain orange juice with no pulp in it<br />
  9. 9. Homogenous Mixture: Cheese<br />American cheese<br />Explanation<br />Cheese is a homogenous mixture because it would taste the same every time or anyway you try to eat it.<br />
  10. 10. Heterogeneous Mixture: Stew<br />Stew<br />Explanation<br />Stew is a heterogeneous mixture because its not always going to taste the same every spoonful. You might get 2 pieces of chicken and a broccoli on one spoonful and 4 pieces of chicken and some carrots on another spoonful.<br />
  11. 11. Heterogeneous Mixture: Spaghetti<br />Spaghetti<br />Explanation<br />Spaghetti is a heterogeneous mixture because you can get more meat one on one spoonful and more noodles on the other.<br />
