  2. 2. HOW MUCH AFRICA IS EFFECTED FROM AIDS <ul><li>More than 75% of Africa has aids. </li></ul><ul><li>More than 650,000 cases of aids, by 1990. </li></ul><ul><li>In 2000 2/3 of 15 year olds in Botswana will die before the age of 50. </li></ul>
  3. 3. HOW AIDS WAS DEVELOPED <ul><li>Scientists say aids was developed in the green monkey in the 1960’s, around Guinea, Bissau, and West Africa. </li></ul>
  4. 4. About aids <ul><li>There is no cure for aids </li></ul><ul><li>There is no medicine to control aids </li></ul><ul><li>Makes peoples bodies shut down </li></ul>
  5. 5. Questions I still have <ul><li>Why don’t scientists try to make a cure, or medicine to control the sickness? </li></ul><ul><li>Did Africa ever try to decrease the aids in the continent? </li></ul><ul><li>Is it possible for aids to go from on continent, to another? </li></ul>
  6. 6. EXTRA FACTS <ul><li>The longest anyone had aids was for 19 years. </li></ul><ul><li>An Iran leader says scientists made a drug called “IMOD” and it cures aids. There is no proof of side effects and its safe. Kamran Bigheri Lakarani claimed during a ceremony. </li></ul>
