Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers <ul><li>The annual competition, organised by the Hong Kong Trade Development Council (TDC), is an important event in helping the industry identify and develop young designers. At the contest’s second presentation yesterday, 18 finalists showed their collections before a panel of judges. </li></ul><ul><li>Contestants are competing in three categories: Casual and Jeans Wear; Contemporary Day Wear; and Party and Evening Wear </li></ul><ul><li>. </li></ul><ul><li>Hong Kong’s young design talent will be on display at the Hong Kong Young Fashion Designers’ Contest 2008, January 14, at the Hong Kong Convention and Exhibition Centre </li></ul><ul><li>The judges are focusing on creativity, marketability, workmanship, fabric suitability and overall appeal. </li></ul><ul><li>The contest will be held on the first day of Hong Kong Fashion Week for Fall/Winter and World Boutique, Hong Kong.
