INTRODUCTION:<br />Jehovah's Witnesses is a restorationist, millenarianChristian denomination.<br />The group emerged from the Bible Student movement, founded in the late 19th century by Charles Taze Russell, with the formation of Zion's Watch Tower Tract Society.<br />Jehova as a lider<br />

History<br />In 1870, Charles Taze Russell and others formed an independent group to study the Bible.<br />Russell firmly rejected as "wholly unnecessary" the concept of a formal organization and declared that his group had no record of its members' names, no creeds, and no sectarian name.<br />
  4. 4. Organization<br />Jehovah's Witnesses are organized under a one principal head office in NY USA, they control all the devotes in this office.<br />The most important figure is the person that proclaim the good news, that are so important for their beliefs.<br />
  5. 5. Beliefs<br />They accept Jesus as a son of god only. They named ANGEL MIGUEL.<br />The Witnesses accept the Bible as scientifically and historically, and also accepting that is rich in symbolism. <br />
  6. 6. They consider the Bible to be the source of truthand the basis for all their beliefs, but they have their own translation of the bible named:<br />New world of the saint writing<br />
  7. 7. Satan<br />Jehovah's Witnesses believe that Satan is a spirit creature who is the ruler of the world.and that he was at one time a perfect angel.<br />Satan persuaded Adam and Eve to obey him rather than God. So they give an special importance in their beliefs.<br />

IMPORTANT PRACTICES:<br />They believe that you need to be pure to save your self so they practice:<br /> their door-to-door preaching (Evangelism)<br />distribution of literature such as THE WATCH TOWER AND AWAKE.<br />they refuse of military service and blood transfusions.<br />They avoid to adore the cross of JESUS<br />
  9. 9. IMPORTANT PRACTICES<br />Also they reject all the kinds of sacrament for example: baptism<br />sexual relations outside of marriage are grounds for expulsion<br />Modesty in dress and grooming is frequently emphasised<br />Drinking of alcoholic beverages is permitted in moderation<br />
  10. 10. Jehovah and JesusChrist<br />Jehovah's Witnesses emphasize to use God's name like JEHOVA.<br />They use the Tetragrammaton originally, and in English they prefer to use the name, Jehovah.<br />
  11. 11. Lifeafterdeath<br />Jehovah's Witnesses believe death is a state of non-existence with no consciousness. There is no Hellof fiery torment.<br />They hope for life after death.<br /> They hope also being resurrected because GOD decides who will survive.<br />they thing that is going be 144000 pure souls in heaven, in the end of the world.<br />

  13. 13. Separateness<br />Jehovah's Witnesses believe that the Bible condemns the mixing of religions on the basis that there can only be one truth from God.<br />They believe that only their religion represents true Christianity, and the others will be destroyed.<br />
  14. 14. Criticisms<br />Jehovah's Witnesses have attracted criticism over:<br />- their Bible translation<br />-Doctrines<br />-their handling of sexual abuse cases <br />
  15. 15. Demographics<br />Jehovah's Witnesses have an active presence in most countries, though they do not form a large part of the population of any country.<br />As of August 2009, Jehovah's Witnesses have an average of 7.0 million "publishers"<br />
