Biodiversity

 1. 1. Biodiversity in the Deciduous Forest By Benjamin
 2. 2. Why is it Important

Biodiversity is what keeps an ecosystem running. It allows for the food chain to work. We need all five groups of animals and plants to complete a food chain.

Producers

Primary Consumers

Secondary Consumers

Quaternary Consumers

Decomposers/Scavengers

 3. 3. What Causes Biodiversity Loss

Humans are the main cause of biodiversity loss.

A lot of humans live in cities by forests.

This pollutes the air with car fumes and factory waste, killing a LOT of plants which, in turn kills the primary consumers.

Then it goes down the chain and ends up killing the whole forest.

 4. 4. How that Affects Us

When the deciduous forest dies out, we lose our source of wood and food.
