La utilidad neta de Milpo creció a USD 17.7m en el 2T13 (+236%
AaA) gracias a mejoras operativas en la recientemente ampliada
Cerro Lindo y a una baja base de comparación cuando en el 2T12
Milpo reportaba problemas en sus subsidiarias y la ampliación de
Cerro Lindo estaba en camino. El margen EBITDA se expandió de
39% a 42%, en términos consolidados fue de 36%.
Resultados
Mayor producción contrarrestó los menores precios de metales y llevó
los ingresos a USD157.4m (+38% AaA), (consolidados fueron de
USD179.3m, -4% AaA). El incremento en el mineral tratado (1’801,715
TM, +33% AaA, +10% TaT), se dio por el mayor aporte de Cerro Lindo
(+48% AaA, +11% TaT) y de El Porvenir (+4% AaA, +9% TaT). No
esperamos mayores alzas en el mineral tratado de Cerro Lindo, que ya
alcanzó su máxima capacidad de 15,000 tpd pero sí podría darse en El
Porvenir, donde se ha estado operando al 90% de su capacidad de
5,600 tpd, mientras los equipos se acondicionaban a los nuevos
volúmenes de producción. Asimismo, gracias a que subieron las leyes
de plomo y plata y que retrocedieron poco las leyes en zinc y cobre,
subió la producción de metal fino de zinc (56,676 TM, +18% AaA),
plomo (7,776 TM, +69% AaA), plata (1.45m oz, +34% AaA) y oro
(1,825 oz, +26% AaA) pero cayó la de cobre (9,102 TM, -4%). En el
2T13, 77% de las ventas vinieron de Cerro Lindo (72%, en 2T12) y
47% de éstas, de zinc, seguidas de 29% de cobre (ambos metales
fueron el 38% de las ventas en el 2T12).
Recorte en gastos y menores pérdidas en las subsidiarias
La reducción de gastos administrativos (-26% AaA) y del neto de otros
gastos e ingresos (-19% AaA), permitieron que la utilidad operativa
llegue a USD49.6m (+55% AaA) y a USD30.2m en términos
consolidados (+127% AaA), afectada por costos de ventas y gastos
operativos más altos asociados a la mina en proceso de cierre Chapi.
El EBITDA individual fue de USD67m (+50% AaA) y de USD65m
(+47% AaA) en términos consolidados. Las pérdidas en subsidiarias,
Chapi y Atacocha, se redujeron a USD17.2m (-18% AaA y -14%TaT).
Esperamos que el cierre de Chapi concluya en el 3T13 por lo que las
pérdidas en subsidiarias serían más de 50% menores en el 3T13. Así,
la utilidad neta llegó a USD17.7m (+234% AaA) y USD14.7m (+163%
AaA) en términos consolidados.
El alza en costos se desacelera
Los costos de tratamiento de Milpo crecieron menos que en el 1T13 y
llegaron a USD32.7/TM (+4% AaA, -3% TaT vs +9% AaA, +6% TaT en
el 1T13). Si bien no se registró una reducción frente al 2012, el menor
incremento resalta entre lo visto frente a sus pares. En USD/TM, la
reducción más notoria se vio en el rubro de gastos de personal (-12%
AaA) mientras que el alza más alta se dio en el consumo de materiales
y suministros (+11% AaA). De manera conservadora, ante la ausencia
de bajas generalizadas y a la persistencia de una demanda por
personal y materiales todavía fuerte en el Centro del Perú, estimamos
que los costos, cerrarán el año +17% AaA (+10% frente al 1T13).
Valorización
Recomendamos COMPRAR Milpo, e incrementamos nuestro
precio objetivo 2013 a PEN2.55, lo cual ofrece una apreciación (no
div) de +31%. Nuestras proyecciones se redujeron para el zinc y el
cobre (2013P USD1,934/TM y USD7,363/TM; 2014P USD2,020/TM,
USD7,250/TM, largo plazo USD2,000/TM y USD6,000/TM).
Seguimos sin considerar proyectos greenfield en este precio
objetivo que sólo toma a Cerro Lindo, El Porvenir y la
participación de Milpo en Atacocha sin modelar expansión
adicional alguna. Además, más conservadoramente que la
gerencia, proyectamos alza de costos de 10% este año, 5% en
2014 y 2.5% en 2015 (alcanzando USD42/TM). Si no hubiéramos
asumido alza de costos, el precio objetivo habría sido de PEN2.93.
