Questions to Ask <ul><li>Is there a trend to the data? </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Yes, our enrolled students come and go throughout their middle school and elementary school years at about a 5-10% transfer rate for each year </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The findings from the transfer rate corresponds with the 38% of students who were enrolled in our high school that come from our three local elementary schools </li></ul></ul>
  7. 7. Is Time Important? <ul><li>According to research…. The biggest factor that contributes to a person not reaching their potential is time spent on task </li></ul>

When Evaluating Time Spent in the High School <ul><li>Our school did an analysis of the time spent on learning throughout an average high school students’ career. </li></ul><ul><li>Our analysis took into consideration passing time, interruptions, lunches, pa announcements, natural classroom and instructional breaks, as well as teacher engagement time. </li></ul>
  9. 9. The Findings… <ul><li>For a180-day school year at 7.25 hours of instruction per day, the average child receives 44 weeks of instruction during a four-year period. </li></ul><ul><li>Does time still not matter? </li></ul>
