Greg Elin is an expert on open government data and was one of the first Chief Data Officers in US Federal government. After working a number years in enterprise data and the Web, Mr. Elin came to Washington, DC, in 2006 to start up the Sunlight Foundation's Sunlight Labs which lead the way introducing API and other Web 2.0 technologies to open government and open source developers to civic IT.
Four years later in 2010, Mr. Elin entered civil service as the Chief Data Officer at the Federal Communication Commission.
