  1. 1. THE GOSPEL ACCORDING TO JESUS MARK 2:1-12
  2. 2. 1A few days later Jesus entered Capernaum againand it became known that he was at home. 2 Somany gathered together there that there was no morespace, even near the door. He was preaching theword to them. 3 A paralyzed man was brought to himcarried by four men. 4 They were not able to get nearto Jesus because of the crowd so they removed theroof above where Jesus was. When they had openedit up they let down the mat on which the paralyzedman was lying.
  3. 3. 5 When Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralyzedman, “Son, your sins have been forgiven.6 Some of the scribes who were sitting there werethinking to themselves, “Why does this man speakblasphemies. No one is able to forgive sins exceptGod.” 8 Jesus immediately knew in his spirit what theywere thinking and said to them, “Why are you thinkingthese things in your heart? 9 Which is easier to say tothe paralyzed man, „Your sins are forgiven,‟ or to say„Rise, take up your mat and walk?‟”
  4. 4. 10 Inorder that you might know that the Son of Manhas authority to forgive sins on the earth - he said tothe paralyzed man, 11 “Arise, take up your mat and gohome.” 12 He immediately got up, took up the mat andwalked out before them all causing everyone to be soamazed that they gave glory to God saying, “We havenever seen anything like this.”

He was preaching the word to them.4. 3A paralyzed man was brought to him carried by four men.5. 4 Theywere not able to get near to Jesus because of the crowd so they removed the roof above where Jesus was.6. When they had opened it up they let down the mat on which the paralyzed man was lying.
  10. 10. 7. 5 When Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins have been forgiven.8. 6 Some of the scribes who were sitting there were thinking to themselves, “Why does this man speak blasphemies. No one is able to forgive sins except God.”9. 8 Jesus immediately knew in his spirit what they were thinking and said to them, “Why are you thinking these things in your heart? 9 Which is easier to say to the paralyzed man, „Your sins are forgiven,‟ or to say „Rise, take up your mat and walk?‟”

  13. 13. GETTING A FIX ON THE GOD-AGENDA 5 When Jesus saw their faith he said to the paralyzed man, “Son, your sins have been forgiven.
  14. 14. HERE‟S WHAT I THINK GOD IS MAKING KNOWN Wherever you are, the challenge will be to look for my agenda rather than presuming your agenda or their agenda. My kingdom will comeand the gospel will be proclaimed as you discover and represent my agenda.
  15. 15. 2WHAT IF THIS WERE HAPPENING IN MY LIFE?
  16. 16. I would be able to discover the God agenda in a given situation andwhen I represented that agenda in what I said or did the kingdom of God would come and the gospel would be proclaimed.
  17. 17. 3WHAT DO I NEED TO DO?
  18. 18. I NEED TO PRACTICE LOOKING AT A SITUATION TO SEE IF I CAN KNOW WHAT GOD‟S AGENDA ISRATHER THAN OTHER PRESENTING AGENDAS
