  2. IMAGES OUT OF THE ORDINARYABOUT THESE IMAGESTHIS WAS MY FIRST TIME SHOOTING BRIGHTON FASHION WEEK, SO I DIDN’T KNOW QUITE WHAT TO EXPECT.BFW2012 CONSISTS OF A NUMBER OF DIFFERENT FASHION INSPIRED EVENTS, INCLUDING CATWALK SHOWS.THE MOST PRESTIGIOUS OF THESE IS THE ZEITGEIST SHOW HELD AT ALL SAINTS CHURCH IN HOVE. AS ITFEATURED INNOVATIVE DESIGNERS, BOTH FROM BRIGHTON AND ACROSS EUROPE, IT WAS THE ONE THATMOST APPEALED TO ME. I WAS NOT ALONE, THERE WERE AT LEAST 20 PHOTOGRAPHERS SHOOTING THESHOW WHICH MEANT I WAS CONFINED TO ONE SPOT FOR THE ENTIRE EVENING. HAVING NOT SEEN THEREHEARSAL AND THE FACT THERE WAS ONLY THE ONE SHOW, THE FIRST TIME I SAW ANYTHING WASTHROUGH THE LENS. WHEN SHOOTING CATWALK SHOWS YOU HAVE TO BE QUICK, MOST MODELS STRIKE APOSE AT THE END OF THE RUNWAY FOR JUST A SECOND OR TWO. AND IT WAS THE MODELS THAT REALLYCAUGHT MY ATTENTION AS THERE WERE QUITE A FEW WITH SOME VERY UNUSUAL FEATURES. I QUICKLYDECIDED THAT UNLIKE EVERYONE ELSE WHO WERE SHOOTING FULL LENGTH, I’D GO IN TIGHT AND FOCUS ONFACES. AS RESULT I’VE THINK I GOT SOME GREAT IMAGES. IF YOU KNOW MY WORK, YOU’LL KNOW THE ONETHING I DON’T DO IS NORMAL AND I’M REALLY PLEASED HOW THIS COLLECTION TURNED OUT. BY THE WAY, ASPECIAL MENTION MUST GO TO BRIGHTON DESIGNER JESS EATON WHOSE ‘ROADKILL COUTURE’ WAS THESTANDOUT OF THE SHOW. THEY’RE THE ONES WITH THE FEATHERS AND, AS THE NAME SAYS, JESS USES DEADANIMALS!INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY NOTICETHE IMAGES CONTAINED IN THIS PRESENTATION WERE CREATED BY GARY MARLOWE AND, WHILST BEINGAVAILABLE FOR VIEWING ON SLIDESHARE, THEY REMAIN THE INTELLECTUAL PROPERTY OF GARY MARLOWE© GARY MARLOWE | 2012 gary marlowe
