  2. 2. IMAGES OUT OF THE ORDINARYABOUT THESE IMAGESTHIS WAS MY SECOND YEAR SHOOTING PRESS DAY AT THE CHELSEA FLOWER SHOW. WITH SO MUCH TO SEEAND JUST 8 HOURS AVAILABLE TO PHOTOGRAPH IT, IT REALLY FOCUSES YOUR ATTENTION. THIS YEAR, TO BEHONEST, THERE WASN’T AS MUCH THAT GRABBED MINE AS THERE WAS IN 2011, IN PARTICULAR, THERESEEMED TO BE A LACK OF GENUINE INNOVATION AMONG THE SHOW GARDENS. FOR ME, THE BEST OF THOSEWAS ANDY STURGEON’S GARDEN FOR M&G WHICH I HAVE PUT A SEPARATE IMAGE COLLECTION ONSLIDESHARE. IF THERE WAS A PARTICULAR TREND THAT I NOTICED, IT WAS THE ABUNDANCE OF COPPER ANDGREY AMONGST THE GARDEN FEATURES AND THE PROMINENT USE OF GEOMETRIC SHAPES ALONGSIDESWATHES OF NATURALISTIC PLANTING, OFTEN FEATURING PREDOMINANTLY BRIGHT GREEN FOLIAGE. THISTHEN IS JUST THE BRIEFEST SNAPSHOT OF THE 2012 SHOW AND MY TAKE ON WHAT VISUALLY WAS THE MOSTINTERESTING. BY THE WAY, NONE OF THESE IMAGES WERE TAKEN ON THE GARDENS THEMSELVES.
