NESTLED IN THE SOUTH DOWNS, A FEW MILES UP THE ARUN FROM LITTLEHAMPTON IT IS DOMINATED BY ITS CASTLE, THE SECOND LARGEST IN ENGLAND AND STILL A FAMILY RESIDENCE. THE CASTLE’S NEWEST ATTRACTION IS THE AWARD-WINNING COLLECTOR EARL’S GARDEN OPENED IN 2008 BY PRINCE CHARLES. CLOSE BY IS THE WETLANDS CENTRE, A 35 ACRE HAVEN FOR WILDFOWL AND FURTHER UPRIVER IS THE BLACK RABBIT PUB WHICH FIRST OPENED FOR BUSINESS IN 1804.
