A total of 2,295 members of the IT community at Toolbox.com participated in the survey, which was conducted from June 16-28, 2010. Among the 841 respondents from North America: 67.3% are currently seeking new employment opportunities 10% are currently unemployed 92.1% have 5 years or more of professional experience 15.2% are managers or executives 27.5% report current salaries above $100K 36.5% consider themselves overqualified for their current position 63.2% of those current seeking new employment have been searching for less than 3 months 47.6% are using social media to conduct their job search
