The negatives in the film industry• Billions of dollars every year are lost due toPiracy online.• Can lead to fewer high budget movies and lessreleases.• It could slow down the process of theproduction stage as the profits made may notbe as expected• Producers may expect to experienceshrinkage and lower salaries.
  4. 4. Positives in film industry• Can give a movie bigger recognition. It canalso lead to people that have watched thepirate copy and enjoyed it to go and view it inthe cinema.• Can be recommended.
  5. 5. The negatives in consumerism• Bad quality videos if film has just come out incinema, usually filmed on a handheld cameraat the back of the cinema.• Sellers of pirated copies have no guarantee ofa good copy, therefore no refunds or returns ifquality is not as expected.
