1. 1. My Special Number By : Elizabeth Jenkins
2. 2. The reasons <ul><li>I picked 20 because it’s my favorite number. </li></ul><ul><li>I picked 20 because I thought it would be a very interesting number. </li></ul><ul><li>I picked 20 because I thought there were a lot of cool things about it. </li></ul>

Mathematical Terms and Reasons <ul><li>20 has the factors – 1,2,4,5,10,20 a factor is the numbers you multiply together to get 20. </li></ul><ul><li>The proper factors are 2,4,5,10 because proper factors are factors besides 1 and itself. </li></ul><ul><li>20 has multiples of – 40,60,80,100,120 ect.Multiples are the products of your number. </li></ul><ul><li>20 is an even number. Even numbers are numbers that you can divide into equal groups of whole numbers. </li></ul><ul><li>20 is a composite number. Composite numbers are numbers that have more than 2 factors. 1 and itself. It is the opposite of prime , prime is a number that had 2 factors only 1 and itself. </li></ul>
4. 4. More mathematical terms and reasons <ul><li>My special number 20 , is abundant because I added all the factors and the number was higher than 20. It is not deficient, deficient is when you add up the digits and the sum is lower than the number. It is also not perfect, perfect numbers are number that you add up the digits and the sum is the exact same as the number. </li></ul><ul><li>20 is the square route of 400. Square routes are when you multiply your number together. Example – 20 x 20 = 400. </li></ul><ul><li>20 is 5% of 100. 20 x 5 = 100 </li></ul><ul><li>The prime factorization for 20 is 2 x 2 x 5. Prime factorization is the longest factor string where all numbers in the factor string are prime. </li></ul>

Some Real Life Examples <ul><li>20 is the last year you can legally not have an alcoholic beverage. </li></ul><ul><li>20 is the number of goals my goalie on my soccer team saved this season. </li></ul><ul><li>20 is how old I wish I was. </li></ul><ul><li>20 is the amount of kids in my 4 th grade class. </li></ul><ul><li>20 is the number of centuries in 2007. </li></ul>
