T H E C O N T E X T This area, with its more then 3,000 researchers and many large research facilities, is a unique pole for history and activities and is the most important in Italy and one of the most significant in Europe. The Frascati territory is one of the European regions with the highest density of research centres, universities and researchers working in all the fields.
  3. 3. F R A S C AT I S C I E N Z A : W H O W E A R E Our mission to share spaces and faces of Science, empowering participation to Research as common good and the literacy to scientific citizenship. Objectives: • Spreading the scientific culture, experiencing the thrill of discovery. • Empowering the Roman Research Area and its infrastructures located in the Lazio Region. • Training the researchers to Science communication and spreading of results.

We have started in 2006 with 3 research centres located in the Frascati area, we are now more than 50 partners spread over 30 Italian cities >20 millions of visualisations of the science pills and prize for no profit awareness campaign CERN, EMC
  7. 7. S U R V E Y M Y T H O L O G Y A N D R E S U LT S • Since 2006 we have collected between 500-2000 ex-ante/post questionnaires per year - 2631 (617 ex-ante, 1.213 ex-post and 801 kids) in 2017. The main objectives of the survey were to: • define the target audience reached during the European Researchers' Night • measure knowledge and promotion of the researcher's figure • draft the most possible concrete idea of the image of the researcher • understand how much difference, between Italy and Europe, is perceived by the public interviewed in relation to employability and research and funding • analyse how much the role of research in Italy and Europe • evaluate how much and which media influenced the dissemination • understanding what was the level of appreciation of the events. • Since 2014 we have started to collect qualitative feedback though world cafe/ Trivia Night and the #humasofERN project
