  3. 3. SUNTEC CITY <ul><li>Officially opened on 30 August 1995, Suntec Singapore is a world-renowned, international venue that has the perfect location for meetings, conventions and exhibitions. Situated in the Central Business District, while only 20 minutes from Changi International Airport, Suntec Singapore is at the heart of a self-contained, totally integrated events infrastructure. In addition to its first-class facilities, Suntec Singapore offers direct access to 5,200 hotel rooms, 1,000 retail stores, 300 restaurants and the region’s new centre for the performing arts, Esplanade – Theatres on the Bay. </li></ul>
  4. 4. Singapore Flyers At a height of 165m, Singapore Flyer is the world’s largest Giant Observation Wheel and is set to be one of Asia’s biggest tourist attractions. Featuring fixed capsules the size of a bus, the spectacular monument is capable of holding up to 784 passengers. Each capsule has a 28 person capacity and each revolution takes approximately 30 minutes. Singapore Flyer was conceived and designed by Dr. Kisho Kurokawa and DP Architects, Singapore. It held its groundbreaking ceremony in September 2005 and was launched in 2008. It promises more than just a view, but a panorama that captures Marina Bay’s skyline with a glimpse of neighbouring Malaysia and Indonesia.   5. 5. Marina Barrage <ul><li>The Barrage consists of nine crest gates which block out the tides . Each is 28 meters tall. Several large capacity low head propeller pumps are installed in the barrage capable of pumping out excess water from the man made reservoir. Each Pump has a capacity of 40m3/s[2]. This would translate into about the volume of an Olympics-size swimming pool per minute.[3] </li></ul>
  6. 6. Esplanade <ul><li>The idea of a performing arts center was first floated some 20 years ago. In the 80's the idea picked up momentum and in 1989, the Advisory Council on Culture and the Arts, chaired by the then Deputy Prime Minister Ong Teng Cheong recommended that an arts center be built for Singapore. Work began in the 90's and a steering committee was formed to plan the project </li></ul>
  7. 7. Wild Wild Wet <ul><li>Wild Wild Wet is the first water theme park in the region to go cashless with the exclusive use of funkey!. This is a cashless card used inside Wild Wild Wet. When it comes to fun, we have it all thought out! </li></ul>
