As president of the Elite Financial Group in Newport Beach, California, George Argyros Jr. believes in giving back to his community. When he is not consulting with clients regarding financial and insurance products, George Argyros Jr. donates considerably to charitable organizations.

One such group is the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF). Established in 1982, the PCRF's mission entails improving the lives and treatment options for children with cancer.

When he is not consulting with clients regarding financial and insurance products, George Argyros Jr. donates considerably to charitable organizations. One such group is the Pediatric Cancer Research Foundation (PCRF). Established in 1982, the PCRF's mission entails improving the lives and treatment options for children with cancer.
  3. 3.  One child that PCRF helps was diagnosed with a rare form of liver cancer. He has had to endure many hardships, including chemotherapy and taking 12 prescription drugs four times a day. He visits the clinic for tests every few days and must drain daily a tube leading to his liver. To avoid germs, he generally stays at home, making very few trips to school in a year. He misses many activities and vacations because of his condition. He has responded with positive attitudes and actions. For instance, he makes and sells loom bracelets and gives the proceeds to PCRF. His family supports him by maintaining a routine of game nights and other pursuits, and adhering to a philosophy of living one day at a time.
