  • Thanks Thom Hello to all ICOMIA members and IFBSO members, ladies & gentleman My name is GB and I am the… here in Chicago at a great time of year from Austin Have you enjoyed Chicago thus far? It is indeed a beautiful city! Blackhawks, Bluesfest, Boating on the lake… As the first slide said I will be discussing what we believe is the next wave in boating participation and that is Fractional Boating. There are plenty of examples of other industries leveraging the fractional model and we will discuss these later. I would like to share a few stories with you that help to illustrate the development of Fractional boating and how it relates to the boater mindset and our ability to grow participation across this category. I expect to discuss this with you for about 30 minutes or so and then we can do a Q&A if necessary.
  • Greece story We come home to Austin to find this…
  • When we really wanted this
  • We are all aware of this reality We knew there was a better way Sharing time, cost, space, headache etc.
  • We built a technology solution to facilitate the details around sharing a boat amongst several disparate individuals
  • 2003-2007 growth years 08-09 were challenging years and we retrenched and invested in our technology assets to strengthen our platform to grow on
  • Fractional is positioned well for the next several years Positioned to leverage and take advantage of the market shifts that have occurred and will continue to occur
  • Best way to explain what FB is is to tell you what it is not… It is not Frac ownership – key issues with frac own are exit and financing Solved for many of the inherent issues with fractional ownership (financing, value after the fact, 2ndary market, etc) We are talking more about shared access not shared ownership. Fractional boating is a balance between member usage and owner usage Owners get the many benefits of ownership and eliminate many of the hassles as the manager handles the operations Members obtain access through a membership and own 0% of the boat and can come and go and “try before you buy” We have many stories regarding people that have joined SailTime as a member and have purchased a boat in or out of ST
  • Busy Time starved DINK Families young and older New Re entering With and without capiital
  • Try before you buy
