    3. 3. Sources of Funding <ul><li>Natural Capital Investment Fund, Inc. </li></ul><ul><li>Uses: New construction of commercial properties that are built to an Energy Star or LEED standard. EE retrofits for commercial properties that achieve at least a 25% reduction in energy consumption. </li></ul><ul><li>Equipment upgrades or EE savings, improvements to plant/office facilities in order to maximize EE, conserve energy and reduce waste, and/or improve productivity. (Minimum of a 25% reduction in energy consumption.) </li></ul><ul><li>Amount: $2,000 to $250,000; </li></ul><ul><li>Term & Rate: Up to 10 years for machinery and equipment loans; up to 10 year term/15 year amortization for real estate loans. Prime Rate plus 1 to 2%. 1% Origination fee. </li></ul><ul><li>Collateral: Assets financed. Additional collateral and sureties as required. </li></ul>

Sources of Funding <ul><li>U.S. Department of Agriculture Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Program </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Purpose : provides funds to agricultural producers and rural small businesses to purchase and install renewable energy systems and make energy efficiency improvements. </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Amount : can be up to 25% of total eligible project costs.
