Understanding your style = Improved communication & learning<br />Visual preference – ask for handouts; utilize videos, do a demonstration rather than a speech<br />Auditory preference – attend lectures, form a study group; use rhyming to help you remember things<br />Kinesthetic preference – ask for opportunities to move physically; use games and role plays for learning and for presentations <br />

Wrap-Up<br />It’s important to remember that we utilize all three styles.<br />But our preference affect the order in which we take in information and enhance our learning. <br />Knowing that there are differences will help us communicate with others and handle situations differently. <br />Every professor presents information in a different style. <br />Create a conducive learning environment for yourself. <br />
