Process<br />We will be doing two statements<br />There should be no school bag<br />Homework should be banned<br />As a group (class groups) we will create our own speech using the ‘school bag’ statement<br />Individually students will write their own ‘Homework’ speech.<br />The best speech from each class will participate in a debate against the teachers and the winning group will get no homework<br />
  3. 3. There Should Be no School Bag<br />In groups, students are to brainstorm reasons for the affirmative (meaning that the above statement is true)<br />Then write a debating speech that convinces people.<br />
  4. 4. HOMEWORK!!<br />Should be banned!<br />
  5. 5. Homework should be banned?<br />Affirmative = Students<br />Negative = Teachers<br />Winners get no homework<br />Losers get homework<br />Judged by MrHeggart<br />
