FLORIDA OFFICE OF WOMEN IN HIGHER EDUCATION About the Conference Workshops Building Your Career in Higher Education with Beatriz Gonzalez Robinson, PhD Dr. Robinson is the Vice President for Planning and Enrollment at Miami’s St. Thomas University and is also a Professor in the University’s Department of Social Sciences and Counseling. Dr. Gonzalez Robinson is a Fellow of the American Council on Education (ACE), serves on the Executive Board for the ACE Council of Fellows, and is a Hispanic Serving Institution Fellow of the United States Department of Agriculture. Qualities of an Effective Leader with Lucy Croft, EdD Dr. Croft is the Assistant Vice President for Student Affairs at the University of North Florida.  She received her BA from Hanover College and her Doctorate of Education from the University of Cincinnati with an emphasis in Leadership Education.  Her areas of concentration are leadership development and higher education administration.  She is a frequent presenter on topics of leadership development at the local, regional, and national levels.  Achieving Your Work/Life Balance with Pixie Larizza, Certified Massage Therapist and Holistic Counselor Ms. Larizza attended the Mandarin School of Chinese Medicine in 1989 and received a state license in 1990. She has taught classes at St. Vincent’s , Baptist Medical and now teaches at UNF through the LEARN Jacksonville program. She was selected as Small Business Leader of the Year in 2006 for the Professional Women’s Council of the Jacksonville Regional Chamber of Commerce and is currently the President of the Women Business Owners of North Florida. The Science of Building a Healthy Lifestyle with Claudia Sealey-Potts, PhD, RD, LD Dr. Sealey-Potts is an Assistant Professor of Nutrition and Dietetic Internship Director in the Department of Nutrition & Dietetics at theUniversity of North Florida. She is a Registered Dietitian with more than two decades of clinical and community nutrition experience. She is the recipient of numerous leadership awards ranging fromWBVTAE Administrator of the Year to the Florida State College Administrator and Professional Outstanding Leadership Award in2002.Ms. Jana Kooi President, Open Campus — Florida State College at JacksonvilleMs. Kooi comes from Pima Community College in Arizona where she has served as the Campus President for two campuses. Sheled the development of the institution’s first virtual college, including the creation of a Center for Learning Technologies to developand support online learning. She is the President-Elect for the American Association of Community Colleges.
