  3. 3. “ talkies” that were introduced in 1927, theater attendance skyrocketed to over 85 million <ul><li>Most Americans visited the movies at least once a week </li></ul>
  4. 4. are “Sheiks” ” <ul><li>Rudolph Valentino, one of the most famous actors of the 20’s became one of America’s sex symbols after staring in “The Sheik” </li></ul><ul><li>After his death ironically enough several women in America committed suicide, although there is no proof of correlation </li></ul><ul><li>Rudolph Valentino started an ongoing trend of idolizing actors. </li></ul>
  5. 5. Actresses are “Shebas” <ul><li>Clara Bow was know as the “It” girl. </li></ul><ul><li>“ It” stood for sex appeal and all of America believed she had it. </li></ul><ul><li>One of her scandals was sold to Hollywood by her employees and became of the rave of the nation. </li></ul>
