Career Daisy

  1. 1. What is CareerDaisy? CareerDaisy aims to revolutionize the recruiting industry by bringing the talent search process into the 21st century, making the search for a job and the search for talent better than ever. CareerDaisy is a service that takes advantage of the power of the internet to match the best job seeker to each job position. CareerDaisy uses database searching and video introductions to allow job seekers to market themselves to employers while making it faster and easier for the employer to find the right talent.
  2. 2. Market Stats • The total annual U.S. recruiting market is estimated at $140+ billion (Guideline, 2009) • Employers spend $6 billion/year on job boards (CareerBuilder 2009 U.S. Forecast) • For the first time in 2006, a majority (51%) of new hires were found through the internet (Booz Allen Hamilton) • 20% of employers say they will spend more for online recruitment in 2009 – more than for any other area (CareerBuilder 2009 U.S. Forecast)
  3. 3. Market Stats • Two biggest challenges identified by hiring managers and HR professionals (Harris Interactive survey): 1. finding qualified candidates (30%) 2. finding a more efficient screening process (18%) • For every open position, hiring staff must review and sort 30 to 100+ resumes (interviews with HR professionals) • Job seekers find it difficult to stand out from other applicants through the written resume (Employment Digest, 2008)
  4. 4. How does CareerDaisy work? 1. TalentSeekers (aka employers or recruiters) enter a profile for a position they are seeking to fill with the best-possible candidate. 2. CareerDaisy searches its database of CareerSeekers and displays the best-fitting candidates, sorted by degree of fit with the profile. 3. TalentSeekers can then view the introductory videos of the top candidates and decide whose name/contact information to request. 4. Selected CareerSeekers are notified and may “opt-in” after reviewing the TalentSeekers company profile.
  5. 5. Benefits of CareerDaisy For the CareerSeeker • Transcend the written resume and showcase your strengths, aspirations and what makes you unique • Use your creativity to market yourself and overcome any weaknesses • Show examples of your work and successes • Only employers you accept receive your name and contact information
  6. 6. Benefits of CareerDaisy For the TalentSeeker (Employers & Recruiters) • Easily conduct detailed searches of the CareerDaisy talentbase • Review the talent’s introductory video before committing resources to setting up interviews • Market your company to qualified candidates through video and other rich media files • Check out work samples and other rich media files for final candidates • Pay only for qualified candidates
