  3. 3.  most common joint disorders caused by aging & “wear and tear” on a joint (breakdown of cartilage). According to the Arthritis Foundation, the disease is most prevalent among individuals 45 years of age and older.
  4. 4.  Cushion the joints Breakdown of cartilage cause the bone to rub each other Ligaments and muscles around the joint becomes weak and stiffer due to bony spurs
  5. 5.  Being overweight , (obesity) Getting older ( aging ) Joint injury , mostly occurs on younger people Joints that are not properly formed A genetic defect in joint cartilage Stresses on the joints from certain jobs and playing sports
  6. 6.  An individual must seek the diagnosis of a physician. After a physical examination and full detailing of symptoms have been discussed, the physician may also recommend X-rays to confirm presence of the disease.
