State of affairs <ul><li>Noorderpoort is establishing an Energy Academy in co-operation with Higher Education and employers; </li></ul><ul><li>There is an increasing demand from industry on windtechnicians </li></ul><ul><li>We know what kind of skills and competences are required; </li></ul><ul><li>Together with BZEE in Germany we are working on a common qualification; </li></ul><ul><li>With BZEE licence and in cooperation with Emden (Germany) set up training windtechnicians; </li></ul><ul><li>First group (12 students, 1 teacher) training windtechnicianin Husum (Germany) </li></ul>

Challenges for Noorderpoort: <ul><li>Development of international qualifications for Wind Technicians: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>That meet the demands of industry, </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Lead to formal diplomas (and therefore fit in national standards), </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Have an international orientation </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>And are international recognised. </li></ul></ul>

Challenges for Noorderpoort (2): <ul><li>An international component means: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Exchange of students and teachers </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>Working together (in development and in the execution) with partners who are experts in specific areas </li></ul></ul><ul><li>Meet the demands of industry means: </li></ul><ul><ul><li>Strong influence of the industry on the curriculum </li></ul></ul><ul><ul><li>The industry is really involved in the project </li></ul></ul>
