  1. 1. Chocolate comes from a small tropical tree usually called “Cacao”. Cacao is a Native to Central and South America but it grew commercially throughout the tropics. About 70% of the world’s cacao has been grown in Africa. The ridged , football shape pod , or fruit of the cacao grows from the branches and oddly straight out of the trunk.
