Electric Vehicle Fleet Modelling Project with Plug-in BC Matching the right EV to the right duty cycle with fleet operators in the province of British Columbia Results from Plug In BC assessment Sample size: • 9 fleets assessed • 123 duty cycles vehicles monitored • Baseline fuel consumption ranged from 6.0 L/100km to 34.9 L/100km • Annual utilization ranged from 901 km/year to 69,000 km/year EV capabilities: • Only 6% of the duty cycles logged would have not been range capable with at least one of the all-electric vehicle options • In 81% of the duty cycles logged, the best-matched EV was fully charge capable with a Level 2 (240 Volt, 30 amp) charging station. Using EVs with a 7-year service life: • Fuel cost savings from baseline: $1.4M • Maintenance cost savings from baseline: $77K • Emissions Cost Savings: $87K • Total electricity added to the grid by converting these to EV: 732 MWh • GHG emissions reduction potential: 3,527 tonnes of CO2e
