So he read some books on music marketing. There were only a few. So then he started reading about marketing in general, and
  2. 2. before long he landed on one of those 65 page, over the top sales letters, and ithooked him.Of course, he didn’t make a million over night. he still haven’t made that million, actually. In reality, It went about a year and a half before he made any money online.Jason tried a lot of things. He started with adwords because the first info product hebought was how to sell information products by writing ads on Google adwords. Theguy made it sound so easy! But the fact is you aren’t going to learn all the subtlereasons that causes people to buy by reading one stinking info product. There is a learning curve to marketing. Jason didn’t realize that. So he spent about$150 on ads and didn’t make a sell.Whatever. He didn’t care, it was the excitement that kept me going. Well an offshootof the adwords technique is affiliate marketing. So he then went down that path, trying every variation he could afford. Now here’s the thing: thinly veiled affiliate promotions don’t work. People aren’t thatstupid! They know there is a “catch”. Again, because he didn’t know basicsalesmanship, he floundered and flop. But Jason didn’t give up.Okay, Jasion thought, if he cuold not trick out the web, maybe he could take hisknowledge of marketing and help small businesses. So overnight he became a smallbusiness marketing consultant. And it made sense. If you opened up any yellowpages book, you’d see these people didn’t have a clue about marketing. It was easy pickings. Or, so he thought! Again, His basic lack of understanding ofmarketing was causing him failure.
  3. 3. Let Jason demonstrate o you: who do you try to sell a suitcase to, the guy with theold, beat up, falling apart, 1980s style suitcase who is in desperate need of a newone… or the guy who just bought six suitcases last month?Yes, it’s true that the second guy doesn’t need a suitcase. But if Jason had to choosewho to sell to, He would go with him.Go with the people who are already paying for good marketing and advertising, soyou don’t have to educate them. It’s much easier than starting from square one withsmall business owners… even though they are the ones who need it most.Amazingly, Jason got a few clients, but not for marketing. Here’s how it worked. Theysat down for a free consultation. Before long, it was apparent they were too scared toeven try anything. But then Jason casually mention that he also built websites, andthey’d Practically cut Jason a check on the spot. The problem was, Jason hated doing website work, or even outsourcing it. he wantedto do marketing, because that’s where all the fun (and money) was. Here’s what’s interesting: Jason got into marketing to help his music career. Itseemed like he could make a quick buck with marketing, which he could then use topromote his CDs, shows and to get the equipment he needed to make a trulyspectacular record. But there was no easy money in marketing. At least not for Jason. What started as ahobby soon became an obsession. People thought he was crazy. He didn’t care. Hewas determined to make it work.Along the way Jason ran out of money. He took a job painting houses. Sadly, themusic fell to the wayside. Now he worked all day painting and all night marketing.
  4. 4. Jason soon discovered that if he wanted to make this work, he was going to have toquit his day job ….......... >>Click here to get the whole story about Jason Fladlien and Jason Fladliens products for internet marketing<<
