Because: • Students are interested in efficient experiences that don’t take so much of their time but from which they can gain a lot. • Students are interested in short term exchange opportunities that they can take during summer or one semester. Why should I do it as an LC? • Providing good quality but short AIESEC XPs will help achieve your go faster, bring growth goals and motivate your members. • Recruiting students with diverse backgrounds will build the LCs internal capacity and bring in new knowledge. • By offering diverse opportunities to widen your pool of attracted students. Because after all it is EASY and FAST! What is the external need? * External Market * High Demand for EPs Duration: 1 to 3 months Realization: Q2/Q3/Q4 Languages: English, Spanish : Destinations: Everywhere ––mostly IGN, Africa GN, South-East Asia, CEE * Student Trends * Duration: 1 to 3 months Realization: Summer Q3 (northern hemisphere) Q1 (Southern Hemisphere) During school year: Q2/Q4 Destinations: IGN, Africa GN, South South-East Asia, CEE Individual Perspective

Short term AIESEC experience –TMU 08.09 Initiative Stage description—Scenario1 S Total Duration: April-July, 15 months I2A-TR-X-LD-H4TF Stage description—Scenario2 Total Duration: April-December- 10 hort monthly term AIESEC INTRO-- April I2A-TR-X-LD-H4TF Wants to gain skills on an NGO before experience working Recruited as Pocket Recruitment (2 weeks in Mid-March) TR—May to July eXchange team TR: April till June self-matching Member of PBoX (something related to cultural preparation for other EPs Education) MAY: Runs for VPX X-June-August in Colombia X—July to September in Indonesia LD-September to December OCP of recruitment/ PBoX LD—September- July VPX H4TF-January H4TF –July Organisational Perspective/ Management Processes: RECRUITMENT: Members for short term AIESEC Experience can be recruited throughout the year, since the opportunities we offer to them are no different than the opportunities we would anyway have in the LC ;) If there are specific exchange or leadership opportunities at some point in time then the LC can run targeted recruitment for the specific profile. Also see: Ongoing recruitment and Pocket Recruitment INDUCTION: As always, induction in the organization is very important to ensure organizational and individual goals alignment. The new members need to explore their opportunities fast, also get all the AIESEC knowledge they need to understand the organization and at the same time achieve results. An ideal induction should not exceed 2 weeks and all processes need to happen parallel in order to get to achievement phase as soon as possible. Also see INDUCTION wiki TR:
